Hannah Neurotica: I knew a girl that dated a gynecologist. I always wondered how he could look at vagina’s every day and then be turned on by them at home with her. Does sex ever feel like work to you? Or is it not like that at all?

James Deen: Its not like that at all. It actually makes sex better because I don’t need to worry about making it a hot scene or doing a certain amount of time or positions or any of the other things that go on at work. Every guy is different that is just how it is for me.

Hannah: Are you always really turned on by the person you are having sex with or do you often have to really fake the attraction?

James: most the time I am really turned on by them. I think women are all beautiful and it is rare I find a girl I am not at least mostly attracted to. However, there are the occasional times i come to work and I am just horrified. On those days I just find one thing about the girl that I can focus on. For example, she has nice eyes, she has a nice ass, she has a pretty smile, good teeth, nice breath, nice hair, good manners, etc.

Hannah: How many times is the act interrupted during filming? Or does the camera keep rolling till your done?

James: it all depends on who the director is. I work for some people who start and stop a million times and want to over direct. I personally believe that the best scenes are the ones where there are no stops. The directors that just “catch the moment” will in my opinion always have the best movies because they will allow the two people to really get into each other and just have fun. Most of the stuff I do is for those directors. So for me the scenes you see are pretty much what happened on set.

Hannah: Have you always been comfortable naked in front of people? What is your first exhibitionist memory?

James: I always have been. I went to a preschool that I would always run around naked at. I really love the attention and I think it is fun. The first exhibitionist thing I did was when I was about 14 or 15 when I was “practicing” for porn. I would go to parties and raves and such and have sex in front of everyone. it was sooooooooooo hot

Hannah: So, like in movies you have sex with amazing looking women. Are you able to get off on sleeping with more “normal” looking women? Like people who don’t have Brazilian waxes, expensive stylists, etc? Has porn affected your view of how a woman’s body should look?

James: the girls in porn really aren’t any different then the “normal” girls you speak of. Most of them don’t have Brazilian waxes they just shave and there are not many if any expensive stylists in the business. Pretty much the only difference between a porn girls looks and the girls walking around everyday is that the porn girl sat in a makeup chair for an hour in order to make them camera ready. I personally hate make up. I think that girls look better when they look the way they actually do.

Hannah: What are your fans like? Any really weird/bizzare/crazy fan stories you can share?

James: I don’t have fans. I am a living prop.

Hannah: I have read some articles about men & porn and it says that very thing–how men are merely a prop in the industry. Do you really not have males or females trying to contact you? I find that so hard to believe. You are a very hot guy

James: thank you. I do have people contacting me on myspace every now and then but I would not consider them fans. Just cool people who are interested in porn. I consider a fan someone who would buy a movie because I was in it. I don’t think there is anyone out there like that. If there is cool. I don’t wanna fool myself, I am not a star. I am just a kid who likes to have sex.

Hannah: Do you ever worry about Sexually Transmitted Infections? Recently on Burning Angel Joanna showed the use of condoms in a silly way. Is there mandatory STI testing?

James: it is mandatory to be tested every 30 days. That video was a joke and nothing more. We were all tested. I worry about them everyday… because the tests are every 30 days it gives a lot of room for infection. They really are more of a comfort blanket than a prevention technique. I wish people were responsible enough to have safe sex all the time however not everyone is.

Hannah: How did you cum to be involved with Burning Angel?

James: Joanna gave me a job. I like working for them they let me do whatever I want it is nice to have that kind of freedom in a working environment.

Hannah: So, there are so many rumors in internet land surrounding you & Joanna Angel. Are you dating or just really good fuck buddies or..?

James: no comment

Hannah: Fiiiiiine! So, there are a lot of assumptions people make about porn actors. Two of the biggest are: 1). that people who make porn come from broken homes or 2).that all women in porn are rape victims. This makes me wonder just about family in general. Do your parents or relatives know what you do or have they found out? How do you handle that?

James: all my family knows what i do. they are ok with it. they obviously rather i be doing something else but they love me and will continue to regardless of what i do. i am lucky to have a good family. as far as everyone else that is none of my business unless they decide to talk about it. i can’t speak on behalf of other people in the industry.

Hannah: Is there anything you do on camera that you only do for the $ but really don’t find pleasure in?

James: no if I didn’t want to do something I would just not do it. If I were against something I would insist on massive amounts of money for it. I always say everyone has a price for everything. I am included in this. For example I don’t have any desire to be shit on… ever, however, for the right price I would do it, take a shower, go to the bank and move on with my life. I am lucky enough to not be so desperate for money or work that I am not in a position where I need to do things I don’t want to do.

Hannah: Do your emotions ever get in the way doing this work? Do you experience jealousy within relationships because of it?

James: my emotional state is way to complex and messed up to describe in an interview

Hannah: This was just something I was wondering when I first got into your Burning Angel videos… for a while you did not give oral in the videos. was this personal choice or it just never came up in those videos?

James: I love going down on girls. The scenes that I don’t do it in are because the majority of directors don’t care about shooting it because the majority of viewers don’t care to watch it. i get into the habit of performing for certain people who aren’t interested so when I work for someone for the first time and they don’t tell me what they want I will perform the way the majority or people ask me to.

James: i would be in school
