I am currently w/o a working computer. Once it gets fixed I will be updating this site, the WiH website, zinecore radio site, etc etc etc.
In the meantime I am working my ass off getting the new issue of Ax Wound out and availible for purchase by Halloween. Thats like, fucking, soon! There are no words to express the level of excitement i’m feeling about this new issue. It is by far the biggest, most ambitious, challenging, artistic project I have ever undertaken and I hope when you hold this new issue in your hands you will feel the level of love and respect and HARD WORK that has been poured into each page by not only myself but all the amazing contributors.
Later this week I will scan the Innards (contents) page so you can really see whats to come in this new issue that iv been brewing for YEARS. it’s taken forever for me to get it out but I have stopped beating myself up about that. In fact I take pride in the work I publish and I think back to when i was at Antioch and working on the literary journal. My professor said why publish an issue if there are no good submissions? it’s like, why publish crap just because you want to meet a deadline!? I have sat on this issue for good reason: waiting for a nice good fat healthy chunk of amazing content to make publishing Ax Wound worth while and i am swimming in some incredible work right now that makes me want to cry when i think about how awesome it all has come to be and how it all flows together…its a perfect puzzle and all the pieces just finally slide nicely together. You;ll see in 11 short days when it goes on sale! …..
In the meantime check out the new issue of FANGORIA. I had written a letter to Tony the editor last month or so about how he called the readers “fanboys” and the lack of attention FEMALE horror FANGIRLS get…. due to that short & sweet email the new Elegy is called “GRRRRRL POWER.” And about exactly what you think. I feel so proud that i can be part of helping to bring women attention they fucking deserve. And so can you, WiH Month is coming up in Feb and the more people who get involved the more revoloutionary this will be!
Here is a b&w scan of the elegy!
Thank you Fangoria for the props <3

hearts & butcher knives,
hannah
